My Story

I grew up in a Christian home, and at a young age I asked Jesus into my heart. He became my father and I, a child of God. A few years later I had a better understanding of things and asked for forgiveness of my sins, and He became my Savior. For a long time I thought of Jesus as a hero that saved me. Within the last few years I have come to know Him as more. He is not just my Father and Savior, but my Lord, my King. I have given Him power and reign over my life, and I want to serve Him. I feel lead to serve Him as a missionary and down the road I hope to fight against human trafficking and especially the sex trade. Besides my love for God I have a love for the outdoors, all things colorful, shinny and jingly. I like laughing, blowing bubbles, splashing in puddles, napping in my hammock, going barefoot, making snow angles, taking pictures, picking flowers, bonfires by the ocean, pointless drives and dancing in the rain. My name is Lisa Derrah, but if you call me La, I will always answer with a smile on my face. I hail form Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia, Canada. And Im excited to see what God has planned.
