I am naked. I am hungry. And I am in need. Will you just wish me well? Or will you give me what I need to be well?

 
“What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, “Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.”
(James 2:14-17)

I am being called by God to serve in South Africa and I am more then willing to go. Fundraising at times is a blessing, hearing God tell me He is in control is amazing, and seeing Him provide is eye opening. Fundraising at times is frustrating, hearing Christians well wishes is encouraging, but seeing little acts to back it up is disappointing. 

Please don’t take this the wrong way, I am very grateful for encouraging words and especially for prayer. But action is needed!

If you wish me well on this mission trip, please help me to achieve it! I have struggled throughout the fundraising process to ask for money. But you know what…I am not going to shy away from it any more! When I think of the people in Africa that this will help, the orphaned children that need to know a Fathers love, THE Fathers love, and the AIDS victims that need the healing only God can provide, the poor that can have true richness in the Lord…all these people….I have no problem asking…I have no problem begging…for money to help them.

Currently I have $1,756 in my account, with pledges I have $3,156. On top of this, my flight to the training camp in Atlanta is booked and paid for! My flight to Africa and back is also booked and paid for! The trip cost is $6,950. I need 60% of the funds ($4,170) in my account before I leave in a month, and the rest in pledges. Also I need to pay for things like, a VISA($155), medications ($650), travel insurance($350) ect.

PRAISE God for providing my all my flights! And a huge thank you to anyone that has supported me so far! I am very grateful. More support is needed! (remember that 60% of the funds must be in my account before I leave, and the rest in pledges) I have faith in the Lord that He will finish the work He has begun in me and provide just as He has promised.
